Delta Sky Club JFK: Hot Dog Eating Contest 

Fat man at the lounge strikes again! As does another lounge venue for a TPOL food eating contest.  

I arrived late to the airport today because NY traffic was exceptionally bad. That left me with twenty minutes to spend at the lounge. For US flights, this is not a big deal because the lounge experience is very standard. 

Today, that was not the case. Today, the Delta Sky Club JFK had a Nathan’s Hot Dog stand. I wish I could have stayed longer and savored more hot dogs, but with only a few minutes before my flight boarded, I did the next best thing: I had a hot dog eating contest. 

After the first, I went for the second. After the second I regrettably heard the announcement for boarding and cut the contest short. My paranoia at missing my flight continues. 

I commend Delta for this innovative add-on in the lounge. I wish I could’ve stayed longer and gone for the record.
