Good News: Virgin Atlantic Card Approved, Bad News: The 24k Spend

I was just approved for the Virgin Atlantic card which, after spending $12,000 within 6 months, nets 93,000 points. Those points will be applied towards a first-class flight on ANA, an airline I have yet to experience. The first problem with being approved is figuring out how to meet the spending requirement. The second problem is meeting the spending requirement for Ms. TPOL’s card in addition to mine.

Will this offer pull me out of MS retirement? I have read that the USPS does not allow the purchase of money orders through gift cards anymore. If that is true, then I might have to enter the dark world of giftcard reselling. Alternatively, I could just buy a Rolex.

Anyone meeting the spend in this the organic way?
