Scottsdale To Chicago, El Hefe Sunday Funday

Do you skip Saturday nights to make sure that you are good to go on Sunday? In my appreciated age, I find this to be a necessity, especially in preparation for a Vegas pool party. I’m in Chicago right now at the architecturally sound Radisson Blu Aqua reflecting on Sunday, the day of unrest.

While I spent most of my day at the beach, I have to write a quick review for those who are looking to enjoy libations by day or by night and do not know where to go. One great option in Chicago is El Hefe, a Mexican inspired bar that is always jam-packed with people, offers reasonable drink specials, and one too many waitresses blowing whistles while pouring shots of suspect tequila.

The absolute madness at El Hefe runs deep into the night which begs the question, what do these people do on Mondays? Clearly, they are not going to work. Which begs the next question, what do they do on Tuesdays? Sundays at El Hefe Scottsdale used to be, for lack of a better word, epic. Judging by the last time I was there, the party has died down. However, those looking to relive the glory days can still find it in the Chicago location. Everything is exactly the same, including the hangover.

  1. It certainly looks happening. The reasonable drink specials that you mention are not the menu drinks, I presume? $7 for a Tecate on ice doesn’t sound that cheap.
