I was not instantly approved for the Blue Business card. I had too many credit cards open with Amex and had to close one of them. I chose to cut the Blue from American Express, my first Amex, because it serves no purpose.
Enter in the Blue Business card which will be my go to card for everyday expenses where Amex is accepted. This card earns 2x points on ‘just about everything.’ MSers have kept Amex on its toes. Here is what is excluded: “Eligible purchases do NOT include fees or interest charges, balance transfers, purchases of travelers checks, purchases or reloading of prepaid cards, or purchases of other cash equivalents.” You can’t call Bachuwa Law if you MS on this card and then you don’t get your 2x. (Other cases, I am still available.)
Legality aside, this card is great because it comes with 20k points after 3k spend and, most importantly, no annual fee. While gas will still go on my Ink and flights on my Amex platinum, I will use this card for just about everything else.
Nice job Amex!
You closed your oldest card? Won’t that affect your average account length?
For me, all that is nonsense. I have so many cards, so many inquiries, they know who they are dealing with at this point.
Mind if I ask what CL you were given? Interested in the card, but also curious about how generous/stingy they are with CLs.
Haven’t got it yet…
