Traveling is tiring. Going from one city to the next takes its toll. It’s this exhaustion that leads to bad decisions. Unfocused, I forget to ask a taxi driver for the price before hopping into a cab. Lazy, I do not ask how much a double espresso and gelato will cost. Spent, I do not vocalize that I do not need a tour guide to visit Pompeii.
One time I would like to go on a trip and be charged the right price without having to exert any effort. I wish there were an Uber for tours where buyer’s remorse was not a concern. It would be great if I could go to a restaurant and know in advance that I was entering the dragon’s lair of trickeration.
Alas, that’s not possible. All I can do is stay trill.
