Where to Eat in Livingstone, Zambia

With two nights in Livingstone, Zambia, I was given two recommendations for food. The first was the Golden Leaf Indian Restaurant. The second was Cafe Zambeze for authentic Zambian food.

Golden Leaf
If I had to pick one out of the two, I would go with Golden Leaf. For $40, I had two orders of butter naan, vegetable biryani, butter chicken, mutton vindaloo (spicy), two beers, and after dinner tea. All of it was excellent and there was plenty left over for in room dining at Protea. a room with tables and chairs two bottles of beer on a table a table with food on it

Cafe Zambeze
The most famous restaurant in Livingstone is Cafe Zambeze. Perhaps I ordered the wrong items, but this restaurant reminded me of Chili’s. The appetizer combo app was garlic bread and a bunch of fried items, including alligator. Like Chili’s, the best part of the combo was the wings. Inspired by my tour of Chobe National Park which included crocodile spotting, I tried the croc ribs with rice. Like most foreign meats, the ribs tasted like chicken.

Overall
The food in Zimbabwe and Zambia well exceeded my expectations. From breakfast at Devil’s Pool to pizza in Zimbabwe and Indian in Zambia, it was all top notch.
