Simply The Best: November 2017

TPOL’s in Arizona and, for the first time, I have no plans on going anywhere for New Year’s Eve, though there are still spots on the Where to Party New Year’s that I have yet to hit. Nonetheless, I am still in a reflective mood. I will be publishing my Festivus Airing of Grievances soon (see 2015 and 2016 for the anger of yesteryears). Today, I will be posting the best of November. Here they are:

  1. 3,2,1 Bungee! Bungee Jumping Victoria Falls

My bungee days are over, but I’m glad I tried it and am happy I did it in an exotic place like Victoria Falls.

    2. Salt Flats, Bolivia: An Epic, Extraordinary Adventure (Day 1)

a man holding his hands up in the desert
The time had come to go on one of the top highlights of my South America & Africa trip. I booked my salt flats tour upon arrival in Uyuni.

    3. Machu Picchu: Don’t Go My Way

a man standing on a ledge with stone buildings in the background
Let me tell you why you should not visit Machu Picchu the way I did.

    4. South African Airways GRU-JNB: Back in Busines

Having overstayed my welcome at the Star Alliance Lounge Sao Paulo, it was time to leave South America for South Africa.

    5. Revealed: An Insane Use of The United ‘Free’ One Way (Part 2)

a large waterfall with trees and clouds
But for the low, low price of 57,500, I was able to get so much more using the same trick as before.

    6. The Priority Pass Zoo in Santiago: No Peace, No Wi-Fi

a group of people sitting at tables in a restaurant
Recall the love/hate relationship that I have written about regarding Priority Pass lounges. This one is definitely going to be hate.

    7. Ohio State vs. Michigan: Advanced Ticket Scalping

a large crowd of people in a stadium
I never imaged that I could get tickets to the once epic Michigan/OSU game for $40.
