The Hilton Reserve is on the chopping block and it should come as no surprise that it will be chopped. Citi lost the Hilton account to Amex and the gold status that comes with the card is a perk that is available with the Amex Platinum. I called Citi and told them that there was no reason to keep the card because of the Amex news. No retention offer was presented and that was the end of that. I used to hit the 10k min to get a free weekend night but never had great luck redeeming stay certificates for timely reservations.
This is the second time I have had the card. This time, I used the two nights stay certificate for the Waldorf Chicago, a property I enjoyed more the first time I stayed there.
