Where to Eat Italian Food Cape Town is part of the South America & Africa Points Heist Trip Report.
Just a short stroll from the Protea Seapoint is a great Italian restaurant that will become my second home when I move to Cape Town. Upon entering, I was greeted by with a gentle hug by a jolly man I assume to be the owner. Curiously, it wasn’t surprising. It made me feel quite welcome.
We were shown our table and presented with a huge wine list.
I ordered a bottle of pinotage, South Africa‘s dedicated varietal along with a meat and cheese platter, and mussels.
If you’re a lover of pasta and mixing and matching sauces, you’ll love Posticino. I chose spaghetti and meatballs but there are so many other combinations that are worth trying. If you’re a lover of pizza, the same is true. We went with the Mexican pizza which was served with a side of chili peppers. Delicious.
Overall
If you’re in Cape Town and looking for excellent Italian food for a great price and a warm atmosphere, head to Posticino.
Thanks for the tip!
Let me return the favor, if you ever visit Khon Kaen, Pomodoro is the place to eat Italian. The best Italian food I have ever had outside Italy & BTW, I lived in Italy for 2 years. 🙂
