Protea Seapoint: That’s An Ocean View?

I checked into the Protea Sea Point which is located in the affluent Sea Point neighborhood minutes away from the Protea Waterfront, aka Prison/Business School. The hotel costs 5,000 more points, but the rooms are nicer and the location gives travelers an opportunity to experience more than the Waterfront.

Protea Cape Town Waterfront: A Prison, Hotel, And Business School All in One

Protea is to points as the rand is to dollar. The value is exceptional. I booked two separate stays at Protea Cape Town Breakwater and here's what I found:

Posticino: Where to Eat Italian Food Cape Town

Just a short stroll from the Protea Seapoint is a great Italian restaurant that will become my second home when I move to Cape Town‎. Upon entering, I was greeted by with a gentle hug by a jolly man I assume to be the owner.

Forget Tokyo, The Best Sushi Is in Cape Town

I've had the freshest sushi at the Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo. I've been to Sushi Roku at the W Scottsdale. I've had blowfish sashimi in Osaka. Two out of those three make me a good judge of sushi.

Guns & Butter: Cape Town Travel Guide

Radisson Blu Waterfront Cape Town: Yeah Buddy

Right next to the Waterfront, right across the street from the barely used soccer stadium is the idyllic Radisson Blu Cape Town. It's in an excellent, safe spot from which to explore one of the best cities in the world.

Doubletree Cape Town: Too Far to Taxi

The Doubletree Cape Town Upper Eastside is not in a good location. It is far from the waterfront, far from the beach, and far from any taxi driver's recollection of how to get there. .
