Calgary Stampede lost its gallop this week when I had second thoughts about driving to Canada for 4th of July weekend, spending 12k points at Hyatt, and using my stay certificate. Unfortunately, the terms and conditions of the reservation clearly state that the rate is non refundable even if it is a points reservation.
I thought I’d give it a shot and call the hotel directly. Without having to conjure up an excuse, they graciously said no problem and promptly refunded my points.
That’s yet another example of great customer service on behalf of GoldPassport and Hyatt hotels.
On another note, this is turning into the least traveled year in TPOL history.
