Another card is on the chopping block. This time it is the Amex Business Platinum card. The annual fee for the card is $450 and I have already received the $200 airline credit. When I applied for the card, the offer was 150k MR after 20k spent. I derive no benefit from this card that my Amex Platinum or my newly minted Amex Mercedes-Benz Platinum doesn’t provide. For business expenses, I prefer to use my Amex BRG because I received 3X points on advertising, Chase INK for utilities, and SPG business for anything else.
This one was an easy decision. Goodbye annual fee for Business Platinum, hello annual fee + points for Mercedes Platinum.
I’m in a similar situation. The gogo passes were nice but not worth paying the annual fee. The 1k certificate should come in handy soon!
Ah that’ll be nice. I flew Southwest so much I barely used the Gogo.
