I have yet to fly Lufthansa first class, but I have flown Lufthansa short-haul business, and each time, I am unimpressed. Following my missed flight from Lisbon to Nice (see Travel Lesson Lisbon: Friend Reunion Led to Missed Flight ), I used 20,000 Lifemiles and $75 to book this ‘business class’ trip.
I’m not a huge fan of Lufthansa short haul business class either but how is it really different from almost all other business class flights within Europe except Turkish? If you’re looking for a memorable pleasant Lufthansa experience, see if you can fly across the pond upstairs on a 747 while they’re still around. Maybe you’ll get lucky and have a first class award seat open up to make it even better.
You know who else now has almost the same seats with a blocked middle with a table installed, and offers free drinks and snacks? Plus the bigger 2×2 seats in front.
