I went from the high of Trinidad Carnival to the low of being injured on vacation. It was time to go home and hide. Going through immigration, I was not asked the usual questions. Instead, the agent wanted to know what happened to my face. Lying to an immigration officer is prosecutable. As such, I think he bought my basketball story. Before boarding, I went to the Priority Pass Lounge to drown my sorrows in beer.
Overall
I was happy to hide out in the lounge for as long as I could. The walk of shame to the gate was no fun.
