I rationalize doing many things ‘for the blog’. Caviar and vodka tour in Russia? For the blog. Impromptu trip to Abu Dhabi? For the blog.
That’s why while I was in Jakarta, I had to try out Uber motor. Taking motorbikes from strangers in SE Asia is the norm but this would have been an Uber motorbike. For $2, I booked a motorbike to take me to the Garuda office in an effort to capitalize on the sale.
Unfortunately, I never could connect with the Uber driver and I ended up taking a taxi. I wasted so much time waiting for Uber that I missed out on the sale of the decade. And now, all I have is this lousy post to show for it.
In Jakarta, use GoJek, not Uber Motorbike. Gojek is more popular.
I just wanted a business case study on how uber adapts to foreign markets. Uber motor was banned in Thailand.
I was gonna try Uber motor in Ho Chi Minh City. And unfortunately, the motor driver took ages and never came..
Lol it’s a myth
