If you’ve been reading about my adventures in Africa in the South America & Africa Points Heist Trip Report, you’ll notice an underlying theme: tourism ain’t cheap.
Here is the cost breakdown of the major activities in each locale:
Zimbabwe
Bungee Jumping: $210/person and an additional $65/person for the videos and photos
Victoria Falls: $30/person
Total: $305, $610 for two
Zambia
Devil’s Pool: $20 for the transport to Zambia from Zimbabwe to the Falls for two people. $100/person for the pool, breakfast included.
Total $120, $220 for two
Botswana
$150 for Chobe Park tour including transport to and from Zambia, lunch included.
Total: $150, $300 for two.
Total: $575, $1130
Africa has not been cheap but the pictures allow me to rationalize the expense.
Thanks for the info. And yes, South Africa can be cheaper compare to this. I also noticed that in Kenya fees in national parks are much higher versus SA parks – even thou they provide less service and less desirable road condition.
The poorer the country, the more it wants to take from visitors…
For sure SA is best for Safari
