As a Lions fan, I’ve never had a chance to hoist the Lombardi trophy. Then I came to Napoli and realized the second best thing to winning the Super Bowl. Going forward, I will have positive thoughts when I think of Lombardi after the pizza(s) I had tonight. After braving the hell of Air France from Detroit and a day without a lounge, followed by a prototypical fight with a taxi driver, I rewarded myself with two pizza pies and a bottle of chianti.
The first pizza had pistachio sauce, sausage, and fresh basil. It was superb. The second was the traditional margherita pizza invented right here in Naples. The mozzarella was divine.
Life is good.
