If you survive the up and down and winding roads of getting to Maracas Beach without surrendering your lunch, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking view from atop the beach and in front of it. Before you get too relaxed, head over to Richards for bake and shark. I initially thought it was ‘bacon shark’ which would be wild. Bake and shark is like a New Orleans po boy but with shark. The meat is tender and the bread falls right off. One is enough to share with two, but I noticed other people bake and shark hopping from one stall to another to see who makes it best.
Satisfied, I grabbed a Caribe beer and rented a beach chair. I spent the rest of the afternoon doing nothing.
Great spot. I enjoyed the ride to the beach, the scenery and the bake & shark.
