Chengdu Lounge Review is part of the ANA, Take Me ‘Round the World Trip Report.
As a blogger, I feel compelled to visit more than one lounge when given the opportunity. As a Fat Man in the Lounge, I feel compelled to visit more than one lounge when given the opportunity. The airport in Chengdu provided that opportunity. Naturally, I went to the Air China Lounge first because it is restricted to its own business class passengers. Ms. TPOL, flying in peasant class (see Buying Cheaper Tickets at the Airport), went to the Priority Pass Lounge.
Air China Lounge
The joke was on me, at least in terms of seating. The Air China Lounge was tiny. It was set up like a movie screening room. Regarding the food, the Air China Lounge had great dumplings, something delicious anytime of day. The other snacks received a hard pass. After a few more dumplings, I left the lonely lounge to reconnect with Ms. TPOL.
Priority Pass Lounge
The first reason the Priority Pass Lounge is better is because of the pandas (see Panda Panda: Chengdu Panda Visitor Guide).
The second is better views.
The third is clever signs.
The fourth is the amount of seating.
The fifth is because of the quantity of food.
Note: The dumplings in Air China were better.
Overall
Chalk up two more Lounge Reviews to TPOL’s arsenal. But, if you’re not an OCD blogger, I would skip the Air China one for Priority.

food looks better that what was there early OCT. 31 when I was there, what little was set out was gone in seconds. also, AC ticketing is a joke, on HKT, CTU, ICN flights, tickets had to be issued at each stop.
Imagine writing a review each time I went to the same lounge. I’d expect zero consistency.
Where exactly in CTU airport is this Priority Pass Lounge ?
This is an important question because Chengdu is where I was born and my family is and I always get stuck in the lounge you dislike!! 😀
Nice!
