Skopje Airport Transport Guide is part of the #NoCollusion, No Albania for TPOL where I break my 100 country count mark. See the World Map for where I’ve been.
What’s TPOL’s favorite topic to complain about? Taxis! (see “Taxi my friend?” The Worst Places to Hail a Cab) Especially taxis from the airport. When I landed in Macedonia, my 100th country, I was greeted by the fake happy faces of those wanting to give me a good deal to Skopje, the capital city. Instead of taking their word for it, I asked the information desk how to get to the Marriott. The answer was take the bus. For $3.41, the bus took me from the airport to the main bus station. From there, I took a cheap taxi to the hotel. My only warning is not to buy snacks at the airport. A water and a double espresso cost $4.92.
That’s great, but what’s the Queen to do? She doesn’t do buses.
Skip Macedonia lol
