This Amex Centurion Lounge Mexico City Review is part of the Trip Report: The Greatest Diamond Challenge of All Time. Check out how I planned my Hyatt Diamond Challenge and how it cost next to nothing here.
In this report, I will cover:
- Las Vegas, Nevada
- San Diego, California
- Carlsbad, California
- Scottsdale, Arizona
- Mexico City, Mexico
“Run away and never look back,” I told myself as I made for the exits of the Priority Pass Lounge. Half a terminal later, I was seated at the bar the American Express Centurion Lounge in MEX. Ojos rojos in hand along with a few pretzels, I had forgotten about the trauma that I had endured at the prior bus stop.
Unlike the Vegas Centurion, there was not a fat man’s buffet; food was not free. But, there was beer and plenty of it. Given the distance from the gate to the lounge, I only had time to drink four. Two were salt and lime and two were clamato and cerveza. Still from what I did see, I would say it is well worth stopping in the Amex lounge, at least for the opportunity to swipe your $450 piece of plastic.

What is a “fat man’s buffet”?
My idea of a good time. Food that’s never ends and is in close reach.
Let me be more specific: http://thepointsoflife.boardingarea.com/are-you-the-fat-guy-in-the-lounge/
I’ve been to that Centurion Club a few times. It’s fairly small and pathetic compared to most. The staff is friendly enough but no free food and the place is small. I went with my kids recently and the XBox was broken.
Closeby there is a Citibank Lounge that is really amazing with great food and HUGE and nice and new.
Oh I think I saw that but after the first priority pass I skipped it. For a global hub the lounges should be much better. How about the other terminal?
I was just in the lounge in SEA. I went first to the United lounge but it was well below average. So, I headed over to the other terminal and tried the Centurian. Nicer than UA, but also below average. I’ve been in LAS, LGA, MIA, DFW.
I’ll be in SEA again Sunday with a 2 hour connection. I just might try Priority Pass, even tho it has a fee.
Oh no not priority pass! http://thepointsoflife.boardingarea.com/priority-pass-lounge-mexico-city-review/
