Domino’s Pizza App Caribbean is part of the TPOL Moves to PR Trip Report.
While TPOL is a Polyglot, ordering carry out in a foreign language doesn’t always go as planned. In the US, we are spoiled by Uber Eats. In Shanghai, Sherpa’s will bring you almost anything and now there’s an app. In Puerto Rico, all I wanted was my favorite pizza: Domino’s. I tried to use the Domino’s app, but it said it was not available in PR. The same thing happened when I ordered Domino’s in Nairobi (see TPOL’S Food Guide Nairobi). Before giving up and calling in, I searched the Google Play store and found Domino’s has an app for the Caribbean. Not only does it service Puerto Rico but also these other tropical destinations: Aruba, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, and St. Maarten. The deals for pizza aren’t as good as home, but the convenience can’t be beat. Furthermore, I now have an added incentive to go to DR, St. Kitts, and St. Lucia – the only islands on the list that I’ve yet to visit (see Where I’ve Been).

Can you pay with a gift card? I buy my staff Dominos most Fridays using the app to get free pizzas and the MPX app to get miles for the same purchase. Stack with a restaurant earning credit card and it works out pretty well.
