I've never been so happy to board a discount carrier as I was when I flew Wizz Air from Tel Aviv to Warsaw.
I will start my post by showing you a photo of what I arrived with in Warsaw. You'll notice that these are not my carry on bags. So what happened?
I took the discount carrier, Wizz Air, a Hungarian airiline, from Tel Aviv to Warsaw in order to save a few dollars.
After two night at the Hotel Indigo, I switched to the InterContinental to burn my stay certificate. The hotel goes for $500 a night during peak season, a price that is only reasonable when quantifying the value of the redemption.
Drinks are expensive in Tel Aviv. Drinking before going out is advisable. Also note that shops stop selling alcohol after 11PM.
I often get criticized about how I travel. Usually it's from people who have not read TPOL's Travel Philosophy, a worthwhile read before piping in with negative comments. One criticism that keeps me from sleeping all day, a favorite pastime, is that partying all night in a foreign city is not an excuse to get after it during the day.
Yesterday, I wrote about using the Gett App to get around Tel Aviv. While the app works well most of the time, it does have its drawbacks. If it's late at night or if it's the weekend, the app will show no driver available.
