I'm beginning to believe that I will stay at every single Marriott, SPG, and Hyatt in NY. Ideally, I would prefer to stay at the same hotel when I go to NY for work, but the fluctuations in hotel prices make that impossible.
Let's start with the basics: is this hotel worth $700 a night? No. Indeed, it isn't bold statement to say that any Fairfield anywhere in the world is worth $700 a night.
Stumbling back to the Protea Franschhoek after a day of perhaps too much wine and too much dine, I reflected on how great life was.
I checked into the Protea Sea Point which is located in the affluent Sea Point neighborhood minutes away from the Protea Waterfront, aka Prison/Business School. The hotel costs 5,000 more points, but the rooms are nicer and the location gives travelers an opportunity to experience more than the Waterfront.
Protea is to points as the rand is to dollar. The value is exceptional. I booked two separate stays at Protea Cape Town Breakwater and here's what I found:
Besides Sanya, China and Grand Cayman, I have not stayed at many Marriott hotels. This was my first time staying at the AC brand and I have to say that it is now one of my favorites.
