Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale 17th Street: Convenient to FLL And Cinco De Mayo

You can't beat the Hyatt Place when it's a cash and points deal. $55 + 4k points is one of the best values in the points world.

Hyatt Regency Trinidad: A Little Bad, Mostly Good

As a blogger, I write reviews based on my experience. As TPOL, I say what I want to say, regardless if it is popular or not. My stay at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad was as bit of good and and a bit of bad. And that's okay.

Radisson Barbados: Beach Club Or Resort?

The question of this trip is not whether the Radisson Barbados is a nice hotel. The question is whether it is worth staying at a nice hotel or whether is better to save those points and pay for day passes at a beach club. Before I get into that, let's talk hotel.

The Westin Guadalajara: The Other Option

Westins feel like home. They're comfortable and familiar. The Westin Guadalajara had the chic appeal of a W, without the IKEA furniture and unremarkable service.

Hyatt Regency Guadalajara: Pretty Good

The Hyatt Regency Guadalajara has only been open for a year. It's located in the financial district of Guadalajara. It is also surrounded by my nightmare-- a strip mall of the worst restaurants and shops known to mankind.

Sheraton Brooklyn: My Messes

NY is exhausting. I'm not a full-time resident of New York so I'm always looking for deals when I come for short-term work trips. ‎Often, the Four Points fits the bill because there's usually a hotel available for a convenient price.

Four Points Times Square: Another Four Points in Manhattan

The days of St. Regis New York luxury are over. Now, when I need a hotel in New York, I look for the cheapest option at the best location. The Four Points brand by SPG is usually an affordable option.

Four Points Sanya: Come for the View, Then Leave

Sanya hotels are too expensive to spend cash and too cheap to use points. (see my post Struggling to Find Where to Stay in Sanya) My first hotel in Sanya was the Four Point Sheraton. It is a decent value at $80 a night but certainly not worth 7,000 SPG points.

Grand Hyatt Shenzhen: Food, Food, Food!

Reviewing the Grand Hyatt Shenzhen after staying at the St. Regis Shenzhen is unfair. Although it's not as extreme, it's like the time I stayed at the Sheraton New York Times Square after staying at my favorite hotel of all time, the St. Regis New York.

St. Regis Shenzhen: The Best Hotel in Asia And Beyond

Get out of the way Hyatt Hong Kong. Get out of the way Hong Kong. Shenzhen is not the New Jersey equivalent to New York. It is a bustling metropolis with sights, sounds, and skyscrapers.
